I am a proud Air Force Veteran with a passion for fitness that stems from an athletic background of high school basketball and collegiate track and field. I graduated from the National Personal Training Institute with Certifications in Personal Training, Basic Nutrition, Balanced Habits Nutrition, Shoulder and Arm Injuries and Suspension Training with specialties in weight loss management.

Lets be honest here, I can go on and on boring you with my accomplishments but I know what you care about most is how I can help you achieve your personal goals. What you may not know about me is we have a lot in common. Unlike most trainers I once was in your shoes battling issues with my own weight-loss and self-confidence so I understand the time, dedication, accountability and compassion needed to reach your fitness goals. My continuation of education in the fitness field, intensity and passion for what I do makes me the ideal trainer for anyone who lacks the energy, willpower and knowledge to sustain a healthy and fit lifestyle. My trainers and I will do everything in our power to help you build that solid foundation to totally transform your life.     What’s up everyone! My name is TJ and I am one of the great trainers here at Rebel Fit. Prior to coming on as a trainer, I was a client. I have a true and honest passion for personal training and helping others reach their health and fitness goals. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I believe that an effective exercise program combined with clean eating habits is the best way to meet weight loss goals and live a more healthy life..

    Hello!!! My names Lauren and I recently joined the Rebel Fit administrative team and nutrition team. I was active duty Air Force for 9 years. In 2006, I decided to leave active duty (still in the Reserves) and start my career with the US Senate. Once I left active duty, my nutrition and fitness levels started taking the back burner. I would try to balance work, fitness, family, and all other aspects, but it was very hard. I could even see the change in my family because we weren’t as active. In February 2015, I decided to take control of our health. In order to do that, I had to start being a good a good role model. I needed someone to be accountable to for my fitness and nutrition. I started the Take Down Lifestyle program. I lost 8% body fat and 6 inches. My family starting walking/hiking with me. My husband started working out again. We are getting back to where we used to be. I believe in the program so much, I decided to become a Balance Habits Nutrition Coach to help others reach their goals.
    The informal stuff:
    • I really like: family time, hiking, working out, and traveling (especially to the beach)
    • I really don’t like: snorkeling, bridges, and tunnels
    Boring stuff:
    • Nothing about me is boring. 

    Most of my life I've been active by taking up kickboxing and other fitness programs for fun. However, as I got older I became lazy and made every excuse in the book not to hit the gym.  Well, one-day reality hit me like a ton of bricks. At the age of 25 I was diagnosed with hypertension after almost having a stroke. Needless to say I was scared straight and decided to changing my bad habits and unhealthy lifestyle. Determined to get off my daily blood pressure pill regimen, I made a conscious effort to start taking better care of myself. I started working out regularly and made major changes in my mental and physical approach to health and fitness. Within a year, I was able to drop almost 30 pounds and get off my dreaded blood pressure medication completely.

    My new approach and attitude towards fitness inspired me to help other people along their fitness journey. I reached out to Beny to become an intern in the Rebel Fit training program and that is where journey of the learning process to become a trainer began. Well, that was a year ago and it was the best decision I it was the best decision I have made thus far in my career. I am currently studying to become a NASM certified personal trainer and being mentored some of the most educated and passionate trainers you will find in the Alexandria and Woodbridge area. As one of the women on the team I can relate to issues that plague us such as body image, self-esteem, weight loss or weight gain...trust me, I've been there.  I know how it feels to want to look in the mirror and feel insecure about how I look/feel or not knowing the best way to get where I want to be. Let’s face it, fitness can be frustrating if you don’t know what you’re doing or lack the time and energy to figure it out. My main goal is to help you regardless of your goal, limitations or fears by providing the motivation, compassion, support and accountability needed. Your goals are OUR goals and I look forward to working with you.
